2. Sign-up for notifications

On this website you can sign up for notifications. We ask for the following data:

  • Name (optional)
  • Email address (required)

We use the data exclusively to notify you about the launch of Gabor Live Art in 2027 and to occasionally share short insights into the process, the exhibition background and upcoming projects. We do not use the data for any other purpose and do not pass it on to third parties, other than the service providers named in this policy.

3. Double opt-in and loading of the form

We complete the sign-up with a double opt-in process: after you submit the form you receive a confirmation email, and the sign-up only becomes valid once you click the link in that email. Unconfirmed addresses are deleted within [30] days. MailerLite may record the time of sign-up and confirmation as well as technical data needed to prove consent (for example the IP address).

When the sign-up form appears on the page, your browser connects to MailerLite's servers (groot.mailerlite.com, assets.mailerlite.com) so that the form works. In doing so, your IP address and technical browser data are transmitted to MailerLite before you submit anything. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — operating the form.

4. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, phone or social media, we process the data you provide (name, contact details, content of your message) in order to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We keep enquiries for no longer than [12] months after they are answered, unless a contract is concluded.

5. Legal basis

  • Sign-up data: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by submitting the form, ticking the separate (not pre-ticked) checkbox and clicking the link in the confirmation email.
  • Operating the form, server log data and audience measurement: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — secure and reliable operation of the website, and understanding and improving it.
  • Contact enquiries: see section 4.

6. Processors and data transfers

  • MailerLite: The sign-up data is processed by MailerLite (UAB "MailerLite", Lithuania) as a processor. According to MailerLite, its sub-processors are located in the European Union; where data may be transferred to third countries, MailerLite relies on Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Netlify: The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States). Any data transfer takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Pulse Analytics (Ciphera): see section 9.
  • Fonts: The website's fonts are served from our own server and are not loaded from Google's servers, so no data is transferred to a third party in this respect.

7. Retention period

  • Sign-up data: until you withdraw your consent (unsubscribe) or until the purpose of the list (notification about the 2027 launch) ceases to exist. We delete your data on request.
  • Unconfirmed addresses: [30] days.
  • Contact enquiries: see section 4.
  • Server log data: in line with the general security and technical practices of the hosting provider (Netlify), typically for a short period.

8. Server log data (technical data)

The website's hosting provider automatically logs certain technical data on every visit — this is required for the basic operation of most websites and is not targeted data collection. It typically includes:

  • IP address (truncated or full, depending on the hosting provider's settings)
  • Browser type and version
  • Time of the visit and URL of the page visited
  • Referrer page, if relevant

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — secure and stable operation of the website. We do not use marketing tracking.

9. Audience measurement (Pulse Analytics)

To measure visitor numbers we use Pulse Analytics (Ciphera; servers located in Switzerland). Measurement works without cookies. According to the provider, it records the page viewed, the referrer, country/region/city, device, browser and operating system type, and a one-day identifier so that a returning visitor counts once per day. IP addresses are not stored. For Switzerland, an adequacy decision of the European Commission applies.

10. Unsubscribing and your rights

You can unsubscribe at any time with one click using the link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to hello@gaborlive.art. Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • request access to the data stored about you,
  • request rectification of inaccurate data,
  • request erasure (the “right to be forgotten”),
  • request restriction of processing,
  • request data portability,
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • withdraw your consent at any time without giving reasons,
  • lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (in Austria: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna).

11. Cookies, tracking and external links

The website currently uses no analytics or marketing cookies. Audience measurement works without cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for separate consent.

The website contains links to external sites (for example Instagram and the portfolio). When you click them, the privacy rules of the respective provider apply.
