Privacy Policy

This website currently operates during the preparation phase of a business start-up (AMS Unternehmensgründungsprogramm, UGP); at this stage, data is processed as a private individual.

2. What data we process and why

The website has only one active data collection point: the sign-up (notification) form. We ask for the following data:

  • Name (optional)
  • Email address (required)

We use the data exclusively to notify you about the launch of Gabor Live Art in 2027 and to occasionally share short insights into the process, the exhibition background and upcoming projects. We do not use the data for any other purpose and do not pass it on to third parties, other than the service providers named in this policy.

3. Legal basis

The legal basis for processing the sign-up data is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by submitting the sign-up form and ticking the separate (not pre-ticked) checkbox.

The legal basis for processing the server log data described in section 6 is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — operating the website securely and reliably.

4. Processors

The sign-up data is technically processed by MailerLite (UAB "MailerLite", Lithuania, EU) as a processor within the EU/EEA. The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States) — any data transfer takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

The website's fonts are served statically from our own server — they are not loaded from Google's servers, so no data is transferred to a third party in this respect.

5. Retention period

We store your sign-up data until you withdraw your consent (unsubscribe) or until the purpose of the list (notification about the 2027 launch) ceases to exist.

Server log data (see section 6) is stored by the hosting provider (Netlify) in line with its general security and technical practices, typically for a short period (a few weeks to months).

6. Server log data (technical data)

The website's hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.) automatically logs certain technical data on every visit — this is required for the basic operation of most websites and is not targeted data collection. It typically includes:

  • IP address (truncated or full, depending on the hosting provider's settings)
  • Browser type and version
  • Time of the visit and URL of the page visited
  • Referrer page, if relevant

This processing is justified by our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Audience measurement is described in section 6a. We do not use marketing tracking.

6a. Audience measurement (Pulse Analytics)

To measure visitor numbers we use Pulse Analytics (Ciphera BV, Belgium; servers located in Switzerland). Measurement works without cookies. According to the provider, it records the page viewed, the referrer, country/region/city, device, browser and operating system type, and a one-day identifier (so a returning visitor counts once per day). IP addresses are not stored.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website.

7. Unsubscribing and your rights

You can unsubscribe at any time with one click using the link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to hello@gaborlive.art. Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • request access to the data stored about you,
  • request rectification of inaccurate data,
  • request erasure (the “right to be forgotten”),
  • request restriction of processing,
  • request data portability,
  • withdraw your consent at any time without giving reasons,
  • lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (in Austria: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna).

8. Cookies and tracking

The website currently uses no analytics or marketing cookies. Audience measurement (section 6a) works without cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for separate consent.
